How it works?

Roadtrip Adventure is more than just a regular drive along event, where a few cars follow the same route. It’s a challenge where each team gets a detailed roadbook and a map and follow the trail at their own pace. You’ll be completing tasks and challenges and explore various breathtaking sites on the way.

Our adventure is fully analogue. You can complete the route just by following the roadbook. If you are still getting lost, you can use the provided map. If you don’t feel like that, you can always rely on provided gps coordinates or .gpx trails that you can easily upload to the navigation app of your choice. But only those who dare to use roadbook and map only will be competing in the daily challenges with amazing prizes.

Who is it for?

Roadtrip adventure is a way to spend time with your friends, significant other or family. The standard team size is 2 people, but really the only limitation is amount of seats that your car has. And your car itself. You’ll need a roadworthy car that is legal to drive and was made not later than 1996. In some cases we can also accept cars made between 1996 and 2006, but only if they are nice, rare or cool. Convince us and you’ll be free to come. We also recommend the minimum age of the participant to be at least 14 y/o as some of the challenges/attractions might not be suitable for children.

Organization

When you book a place at one of our roadtrip adventures you buy yourself a meticulously planned travel itinereary and much more. We go out and beyond and scout the locations and routes mile after mile to be able to show you not only the stuff that you know from the internet, but also hidden gems that only locals or few travellers would know.

The process

When you book yourself a spot on one of our adventeures, you get yourself a very well planned way to spend a week of your time. Every adventure lasts from sunday to saturday, making it 7 full days of driving and exploring.

First thing that we need to do is to wait for the group to be formed. It needs to be at least 7 or 8 teams, who paid their fully refundable deposit. You can help us by inviting your friends. Both you and them will get a special bonus if you do and you will have a great memory to share.

When the group is formed you will need to pay the half of the remaining sum, or pay it in full. It is up to you. In exchange we will send you a detailed cheatsheet with:

  • directions to get to the start point
  • practical information about getting to the start line
  • everything that you’ll need to drive and feel like a local during a trip
  • list of the documents that you’ll need to have
  • toutorials on how to navigate using roadbook and map

and most importantly

  • complete list of overnight stay points with a list of possible hotels, campsites, pensions and apartments to rent in the area.

Acommodation

Because we want our roadtrip adventure to be fully inclusive and accessible to all kinds of travel folks, we do not provide accomodation. At each overnight stopping point we will arrange the space to integrate during evening dinner/party/whatever and morning coffee, but the place to stay is your own choice.

We’ll provide you with a list of the locations and some of the options to sleep in the area. The booking itself has to be made by you. Our propositions will vary from cheap campsites to medium-tier hotels and apartments. Something to cater their own needs. We choose to go this way to not only make the adventure accessible to everyone, but also to support local tourism and buisnesses instead of big chain hotels and resorts.

For those of you, who don’t want to much hassle with booking – don’t worry. Our accomodation list will include also links and contact info, so the only thing you’ll need to do is click a few times. And if it still bothers you – just contact us and we’ll be more than happy to help.

What is included in price

The price of each roadtrip adventure includes lots of things that are sometimes very easy to be overlooked.

Integration

During the way there will be plenty of options to integrate with other – like minded adventurers travelling in different vehicles. Each morning before the start will be some time to drink some coffee together and chat. During the day we will stop at multiple points for sightseeing or lunch. Then every evening will be an opportunity to eat a dinnner, grab a drink, take part in some games and quizzes or just party together.

To make the contact between teams easier we will create the special whatsapp group where everyone of the participants can write and contact other teams.

Attractions

Roadtrip adventure being the event for car enthusiast will certainly focus on joy of driving and following the most beautiful roads possible. But there is more than that in every place we’ll go. There is history and there are beautiful and interesting things of all sorts. We try to blend it all, not only focus on the motoring or tecnhical museums but to show the best things that each region has to offer. It can be a museum, it can be a wineyard or abandoned military base. You’ll have to come to see what we found for you, as it is always a suprise.

Challenges

On the way there will be plenty of different challenges to take part in. They can be very different and include finding something, solving some puzzles or taking some specific photo. Completing the tasks will give you points and whoever has the most wins some small prize and most importantly – the eternal glory.

Length

Each adventure is Sunday to Saturday. 7 Days of driving. Each day is around 150-300km. As most of the driving is made using the backroads and we plan plenty of stops this is around the whole day of driving, but without too much pressure and sill plenty of time to relax during evenings.

Roads and places

Our adventures focus mostly on the backroads, countryside and little picteruesque towns. We try to avoid big cities as much as possible. The roads where we go are mostly paved, but the asphalt can be in a very different condition. In some places, especially when accessing some of the attractions gravel road might occure. But we try to choose only smooth gravel. Nothing offroad. Keep in mind that it is an adventure and if you want to access some out of beaten path places in some remote country you’ll probably need to get of the beaten path. But don’t worry. All the bad road conditions that we’ll encounter will be marked in your roadbook so you can prepare accordingly.

What is not icluded, but good to have?

We do all the trip organization for you, but there are still a few things that needs to be addresed by your teams:

  • acommodation (as mentioned above)
  • fuel for your car
  • travel insurance
  • 3rd party insurance for your vehicle
  • food and drinks
  • any additional attractions, entrances etc.
  • tolls
